2019 Syrah, Queen of Diamonds

The 2019 Diamond Mountain Vineyard Syrah is 100% Syrah, aged for 21 months in 50% new French oak cooperage and bottled unfiltered.

Our Syrah is grown at 2100 feet elevation, on a northern section of Diamond Mountain that is comprised of unusually shallow soil. The unique growing conditions yield a heavily pigmented berry vinified into viscous pleasure. The resulting wine has seductive aromatics of savory meats and forest soil giving way to raspberries that lift the bouquet into pleasant red fruit aromas. In the mouth, the wine is concentrated and powerful with the texture of fine milled milky chocolate.--Kevin Vecchiarelli, Winemaker.
