2020 The Peak, Proprietary Red

The 2020 The Peak is an intense blend of 55% Cabernet Franc, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Syrah.  The wine is aged 20 months in 60% new French oak and bottled unfiltered.   

The fruit for this wine was harvested on the eve before the Glass fire on September 26, 2020. We were fortunate to capture the best qualities of our vineyard just prior to this disasterous event.  This unique blend exhibts comforting aromatics of mocha and cocoa powder, while at the same time a fresh floral quality redolent of French geraniums adds more complexity to the nose.  The wine is full bodied and reveals our familiar mountain fruit density--Kevin Vecchiarelli, Winemaker. $135.00
